On June 8th, we celebrated a significant event by bidding farewell to the Class of 2024, highlighting the remarkable academic performance and commitment of its 88 students. This group has not only demonstrated admirable strength and resilience but also exceptional preparation to face future challenges.

At the start of the school year, 60 of the 88 seniors (68%) were seeking educational opportunities abroad—the highest number ever recorded in the school’s history. Of these, 58 completed their applications, and currently, 46 of them are preparing to continue their university studies outside of Colombia, with two other students considering a gap year before starting their careers, representing a notable 54%.

Students have been accepted into prestigious universities in countries such as:

England (Queen Mary University of London; Warwickshire University)
United States (Columbia University; University of Florida; Emory University; Purdue University; University of Virginia; Indiana University; Rollins College; Northeastern University; Georgetown University; New York University; Full Sail University; Boston University; Furman University; Parsons School of Designs; Lamar University; Michigan State University; SCAD; American University)

Nationally, the graduates also displayed outstanding performance, with nearly 100% acceptance into their first-choice universities in Colombia, such as ICESI, Javeriana Cali and Bogotá, CESA, Rosario, Los Andes, and EAFIT. Additionally, three students will take a gap year to learn a new language in countries like Italy, Brazil, and Germany.

In total, the 46 students received 127 acceptances, of which 95 are from institutions classified as “most competitive” and “highly competitive,” setting a new record in the school’s history.

The SAT exam results were equally impressive, with an average score increase to 1170, and 58% of the class participated in this aptitude test. Moreover, 76% of students took AP (Advanced Placement) courses, and 47% took the corresponding exams, with results expected in July.

The awarding of scholarships also reflected the commitment and educational quality of the school. A total of 21 students received scholarship offers totaling 2.7 million dollars for their four years of higher education, equivalent to approximately 11 billion pesos.

The Class of 2024 not only symbolizes individual success but also collective growth and unity. Each graduate stands at the threshold of new opportunities, ready to maximize their potential and shape their future. This group embodies perseverance and ambition, qualities that will drive them to achieve remarkable accomplishments.

We congratulate the Class of 2024 on their achievements and wish them a bright and boundless future, carrying Bolívar’s values with them wherever they go.
