Colegio Bolivar´s Model United Nations – CBMUN

Colegio Bolívar proudly hosted CBMUN VII, the seventh edition of our Model United Nations, which took place from February 6 to 8 on our campus. More than 10 schools from across the country and over 300 participants engaged in debates on topics such as the War in Sudan, the Political Crisis in Myanmar, the Use of AI in Modern Warfare, the Effects of Antimicrobial Resistance, and Legal Reforms in Colombia, as well as thought-provoking ideas like the Banality of Evil and the Limitations of Morality. These discussions unfolded across 13 different committees, including the Security Council, the World Health Organization, the Global Leaders Summit, and many more.

We would like to congratulate this year’s Secretariat for their outstanding work and tireless 24/7 effort to ensure that delegates and all attendees had an unforgettable experience. The Closing Ceremony showcased the hard work of the delegates and committee chairs. All invited institutions demonstrated a high level of professionalism, academic excellence, and diplomacy. During the ceremony, the following awards were presented: Best Portfolio, Best Opening Speech, Honorable Mention, Outstanding Delegate, Best Delegate, and Best Chair.

We are incredibly proud of all our students and everyone who made this event possible.

A special mention goes to Alyssa Barney and Natalia Ocampo, eighth-grade students who won this year’s Best Chair Award, showcasing effective leadership and an advanced understanding of parliamentary procedure.

We eagerly look forward to the next edition of CBMUN, which we will announce very soon!
