The 2023-2024 school year has been a vibrant and creative period for the Arts Department at Colegio Bolivar. With a wide range of events and activities, students have had the opportunity to showcase their artistic talent and achieve remarkable accomplishments.

Since August, the program kicked off with the Borges exhibition in the library, where students explored the works of the renowned Argentine writer through various activities.

In September, the comic library took center stage with student participation and the support of the school band, offering attendees an immersion into the world of comics. Additionally, elementary students displayed their art projects.

October marked the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society ceremony, a significant event accompanied by the band led by Julbrainner Mora, enhancing the sense of community and academic excellence.

The Arts Festival in Armenia, held in November, was a standout milestone. The school received two national awards: Best Artwork and Best Band, showcasing the talent and dedication of our students.

During December, the Bolívar Community was infused with the Christmas spirit through various performances, including the Christmas program by El Nido and presentations by K4, K5, and 1st grade, drawing many parents and community members.

2024 began with participation in the ASOBILCA (Association of Bilingual Schools of Cali) Integrated Arts Meeting and at the La Tertulia Museum in February, where young artists came together to create a striking mural. Additionally, on Bolívar Day, the elementary rock band and dance team participated with performances for all attendees.

March witnessed exciting dance performances by second-grade students in front of an audience of 350 people.

May and June closed the school year with significant events such as the inauguration of the CB MUN model, the primary, middle, and high school art exhibition in the library, and the spectacular “On Air-The Concert.” Also noteworthy were the Choir Meeting at ICESI University and the senior and fifth-grade graduation ceremonies, along with various closures, all enhanced by the talent of our artists.

During the 2023-2024 school year, a total of 28 events involved the Arts Department of the school. These events included exhibitions, ceremonies, festivals, performances, competitions, and assemblies that covered a wide range of artistic and cultural activities.

Once again, our school has demonstrated its commitment to the artistic development of its students, providing them with platforms to express themselves and gain recognition for their

dedication and creativity. Congratulations to everyone for a year full of achievements and unforgettable experiences!
