Colegio Bolívar has experienced an exceptional year in its library, with a wide variety of events and exhibitions that have enriched the academic and cultural life of the Educational Community.
Throughout the 2023-2024 school year, the library has been the epicenter of more than twenty activities, with notable exhibitions such as:
- Borges did it – A literary exhibition that paid tribute to the renowned Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges.
- Banned Books Week – A week of awareness about literary censorship and freedom of expression.
- Halloween – Thematic decorations and activities related to this popular holiday.
- Fossil Exhibition (Dinovember) – An educational display about the dinosaur era.
- Mario García: A Photographic History of Television in Colombia – A photographic retrospective on the evolution of Colombian television.
- Diwali Hindu Festival – A cultural celebration that included exhibitions and activities about this important Indian festival.
- Treasure Tellers – A tribute to traditional storytellers.
- Tolkien’s 132nd Birthday – A celebration of the life and work of J.R.R. Tolkien.
- Black History Month – Candelario Obeso – An exhibition dedicated to the poet and his impact on Afro-Colombian culture.
- Sailing on a River of Letters – A journey through Colombian literature.
- Bolívar Bird Fair – An exhibition dedicated to the local avifauna.
- Women’s Day – A celebration and recognition of the role of women in society.
- Pi Day – Activities and exhibitions focused on the famous mathematical number.
- Sustainability Exhibition – Awareness about the importance of environmental care.
- See You with Gabo – A tribute to Nobel Prize winner Gabriel García Márquez.

In total, 34 events were held in the school’s library during the 2023-2024 school year. These events not only promoted learning and knowledge but also strengthened the school community by fostering an interactive environment that considers various disciplines. The library at Colegio Bolívar has established itself as a vital space for intellectual and cultural development, offering unique opportunities for students to explore new ideas, celebrate diversity, and actively participate in their own educational process.
