In December, the Martin Felton Library will be transformed into a space of exploration and discovery with the arrival of the interactive and immersive exhibit “Lost Giants: The Legacy of the River”. This exhibit offers a fascinating narrative about the coexistence of humans and megafauna in Colombia during the period between 40,000 and 10,000 years ago.

The exhibit combines elements such as fossils, archaeological artifacts, and advanced augmented and virtual reality technologies, accompanied by soundscapes that transport visitors to the Pleistocene and Holocene Valle del Cauca. The result is an experience that connects science, history and technology to recreate a unique encounter with the remote past of our region.

This initiative is the result of the work of an interdisciplinary team from Universidad Icesi, with the financial support of Icesi and the Colombian Institute of Anthropology and History (ICANH).

Do not miss the opportunity to live this unique experience that promises to amaze the entire community. We are waiting for you at the Martin Felton Library to discover together the legacy of the lost giants.
