“A library is a sacred place for a community; and its sacredness lies in its accessibility, its public nature. It belongs to everyone.”
Ursula K. Le Guin
The Martin Felton Library aims to be the heart of Bolívar School. It is a space where the community can solve its information problems, access reliable sources, find resources for research, and receive the support necessary to carry out academic activities. More than just a physical space or a repository for books, the library is a place to encounter art, science, and culture.
Educators can design and schedule their classes with the support of librarians. We prepare curated bibliographic collections for inquiries and research, and we also bring our resources directly to classrooms to support students’ academic activities.
hroughout the year, the library hosts exhibitions on a variety of subjects, for which teachers can arrange guided tours with their classes. In addition, every quarter we offer artistic activities and cultural events related to the world of books and literature.
We make classroom visits to provide students with training in database management, with a special focus on EBSCOhost.
We are members of the Banco de la República library network, which allows us to request books that are not available in our own collection.
Browse our catalog, search for the resources you need, identify the material, and request it from the library.
EbscoHost offers thousands of newspaper articles, books, reference materials, non-print media, journal articles, historical material, ERIC articles, dissertations, and more. The User ID is s4361824. Ask any member of the library staff for the password.
